Willie Alfonso grew up in one of the toughest neighborhoods in America. He was kicked out of the house at age eleven. He lived on the streets of Brooklyn and did drugs until he met Jesus. Willie began working with teenagers in a sports ministry, was the Chaplain to the Brooklyn Nets, and is currently the Chapel Leader for the Staten Island Yankees and the Hispanic players of the New York Yankees. In addition, he serves with Athletes in Action. Willie is the author of It’s A New Beginning: How to Turn Your Setbacks Into Comebacks. He continues to reside on Staten Island with his wife, Nancy. They have three daughters, Venus, Yvette, and Krista, and two grandchildren, Julie and Jonathan, with son-in-law, Miguel Vasquez. Connect at WillieAlfonso.com.
